What services does a Notary Public provide?

The main function of a Notary Public is to authenticate and legalise documents, particularly those documents being used abroad. A Notary’s seal and signature will verify to the authorities in that country that the client’s signature is genuine and that the relevant checks have been made.

John Spurling is a Solicitor and Notary Public and past Chairman of the Bournemouth branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He has practised in the area for many years and is supported by a team of experienced and professional staff.

John’s daughter Tamasine Whitbread who was previously a partner with a West Country firm has joined the firm some years ago and has similar skills.

Jacqueline Smith is a qualified Solicitor with many years experience in residential conveyancing, specialising in all aspects of residential property work including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and lease extensions and equity release. Jacqueline works full time at our Christchurch office.

We can also offer Notarial services.
Our offices are situated in the Priory Quarter of Christchurch close to the Quay in Mudeford.
